华盛顿地区300百多名侨学界同仁们举办“欢迎中国驻美新任大使— 崔天凯晚宴。参加晚宴的有中国驻美大使馆邓洪波公使，陆康公使，和陈雄风总领事及参赞等出席这次的活动。
崔天凯大使说： 第一次活动就因该是和我们的侨胞们在一起。还讲到

波斯顿马拉松和中国四川雅安地震遇难同胞们，要把我们的祝福和支持送给遇

难的人们和灾区的人民，在国家遇到困难的时候，我们海外同胞们一

定会和人民在一起，齐心协力，为民族分忧，为同胞担当。并强调说中美关系保持健康稳定的发展是不可阻挡的趋势。
